A number of Arab authorities are currently asking Palestinian Head of State Mahmoud Abbass to put an end to his political efforts to join the United Nations and withdraw the draft resolution that he seeks to present to the Security Council over Palestinian-state recognition attempts.

Abbass told CBC that he is willing to resort to the International Criminal Court should the American administration veto the Palestinian draft resolution.

“It is the Palestinian Unity government’s  decision [to follow up on reconstructing Gaza], Hamas has no right to interfere,” he said.
