Putin, Merkel, Hollande, Poroshenko confirm commitment to fulfilling Minsk agreements

Russian President Vladimir Putin, his French and Ukrainian counterparts, Francois Hollande and Petro Poroshenko, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday confirmed the commitment to the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the situation in south-eastern Ukraine.

In a telephone conversation Putin, Hollande, Poroshenko and Merkel noted the importance of continuing the Contact Group work, the Kremlin press service said.

The top leaders “stressed the need to strictly observe the ceasefire regime with the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) monitoring," the press service said.

“Russia calls for establishing a stable dialogue between the central Ukrainian authorities and representatives of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions that would, of course, facilitate general stabilization of the situation,” the Kremlin said.
