Saudi ambassador Ali Awadh Assiri stressed Wednesday that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz is very keen on Lebanon's security, stability and sovereignty, pointing out that the kingdom's support stems from its keenness making Lebanese people able to fight terrorism which has become the major threat for Arab societies.
In an interview with Okaz Saudi daily, the envoy said that the Saudi grant aims to empower Lebanese army for making it capable to combat all challenges threatening the country's unity and safety amid the crises on the borders.
"The army is an inclusive patriotic institution which gathers the people regardless their sects," he noted.
"The kingdom will always support Lebanon with actions and not only with world," Assiri concluded.
