Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Assiri noted that that the Saudi King was keen on aiding the Lebanon military institution with all means possible, noting that this additional grant represents the depth of the Saudi-Lebanese ties and his highness’s desire to aid in preserving the country’s stability.
“The Lebanese Army is made up of all different sects,” Assiri told al-Shark al-Awsat newspaper published Friday,voicing hope that the Saudi aid will help it rise to the occasion and protect Lebanon from all regional and local threats.
Assiri noted that the $ 1 billion additional grant entrusted to Former PM Saad Hariri has been partially executed.
