Contacts undergoing with Abou Ali al-Shishani, head Muslim Scholars Committee says

Muslim Scholars Committee met Tuesday with families of abducted troops in Riad Solh Square where they are staging their protest.

Head of the committee Sheikh Salem al-Rafeii stressed that "no problem if the negotiations were prolonged but the most important is that servicemen remain safe", hoping that the captors would positively respond to this request.

"We are now waiting for PM Tamam Salam to take his decision to officially appoint us to resolve the case, anyway we will work in secrecy to release your sons," Rafeii addressed the families.

"Abou Ali al-Shishani called me to thank me for the release of his wife Ola al-Oqaili and promised me to obtain the pledge of keeping the troops safe," he added.
