Fillon following talks with Salam stresses Lebanon's need for support to fight terrorism

France's former Prime Minister Francois Fillon said Saturday that Lebanon is dire need for international support to fight terrorism, since this mission concerns the whole world.

Following talks with PM Tamam Salam at Grand Serail, the French official noted that the fight against terrorism is not only limited to military operations.

"Lebanon should rely on its moderate citizens through education in addition to social and economic development because combating terrorism is not only limited to military operations," he added.

"This social class should garner international support in general and European support in particular," Fillon stated.

Separately Salam also received Minister of Tourism Michel Pharaon, with whom he discussed the latest updates on touristic issues.
