Qasem says Takfirism is a threat against Muslims, not Islam

Hezbollah Deputy Chief Naim Qasem noted that the Takfiri threat against humanity is rising, adding that extremists are harming Islam and none of their actions can be associated with it.

“We want to give out the proper example of Islam, morals, resistance and the freedom of belief,” he said, adding that Takfiris don’t pose a threat to Islam as it has uncovered its ways.

Takfirism is a threat against Muslims and people, but not Islam which is protected by God, Qasem noted, adding that those who protect the extremists’ ways are protecting them whilst they should be trailed and confronted.

“Sadly, certain regional and international factions are sponsoring this terrorism and causing the crises currently rattling the region,” he stated, noting that violence against any state cannot be condoned or legitimized.

Qasem wondered if violence against the Palestinians is bad why violence against other Arab people is considered good, noting that all violence must be seen as the crime that it embodies.
