Maronite Patriarch Bechara al-Rahi noted Sunday that nobody was entitled to deprive the country from a president.
"We reject influential parties’ attempts to tamper with the nation’s fate based on their personal interests," al-Rahi during the sermon he gave at a mass held to welcome Our Lady of Fatima, in Harisa.
The patriarch stated that no faction is allowed to drag the country and its people into chaos and poverty, adding that some camps’ inhibition of the presidential vote is blocking the Parliament and the government.
On a different note, the Maronite Patriarch condemned the massacre perpetrated against dozens of Druze in Qalb Lawza in the Syrian province of Idlib.
