Prime Minister Tammam Salam mourned the death of former lawmaker and minister, Elias Skaff.

In a released statement, Salam said that "Lebanon grieves the absence of a leading national figure who has played a key role in the domestic politics over the years, treading in the footsteps of the late Joseph Skaff."
