House Speaker, Nabih Berri, welcomed at Ain al-Tineh on Friday visiting Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjaito.
Talks between the pair reportedly touched on the most recent developments at the local and regional scenes, as well as on the best means to boost Lebanese-Hungarian relations.
Separately, Berri had an audience with Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdul Karim Ali, with talks mainly focusing on the prevailing situation in the region.
"We held a tour de horizon on the challenges that Lebanon, Syria, and the region are currently being subjected to. We saw eye-to-eye on the fact that the victories of the Syrian Army and its supporters in different Syrian regions were an outright indicator that terrorism was collapsing in Syria," the Syrian diplomat said, adding that this only bears positive repercussions on the Lebanese and regional scenes.
"This also proves the loss of those who have been wagering on terrorism," he added.
In addition, the House Speaker welcomed today Former Lebanese President, Michel Sleiman. Both men mainly held election law-related discussions.
