"The tragedy of the Syrian people may be one of the worst tragedies of the modern history of our so-called humanity," MP Walid Jumblatt said via twitter on Friday.

"Eight years of killing with all kinds of weapons, displacement, destruction, kidnapping and arrest, and no one is taking action. The Syrian people have been left isolated at the time that countries are struggling and negotiating at their expense. Today, Ghouta will be swapped in return for Afrin... what about tomorrow?" Jumblatt's tweet added.
