Minister of Tourism, Avedis Guidanian, announced Monday his ministry's plan to boost the tourism sector in the upcoming stage.
According to Guidanian, the plan tackles the enlargement of the tourism market to reach a number of European countries, while also focusing on tourists from the Arab world and the Gulf.
"Lebanon's tourism focuses on tourists from the Arab world and the Gulf; but today, we are speaking of the diversification of markets," the Minister explained.
"We are working on the expansion of the tourism market to reach several European countries, in addition to our focus on tourists coming from the Arab world and Gulf," he said.
Guidanian also maintained that bolstering tourism required the presence of a competent body, in addition to partnership and cooperation between the public and private sectors.
