Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received Thursday in Ain el-Tineh former MP Ghazi Aridi, commissioned by Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt.

In the wake of the meeting, Aridi praised the Baabda reconciliation session, underlining Berri's role in it. "With God's help, things went back to normal at the level of institutional work. This is what we need from the Council of Ministers, which was held after the Baabda meeting and is being held today. Work has been activated in State departments and institutions, in view of the delicate economic, financial and social reality, which portends a great risk if not for the results achieved in recent days."

"It is time to preserve for ourselves in Lebanon the classification that this country and the Lebanese deserve," he added.
