The US military says Michael Erik Kurilla, the commander of the Central Command (CENTCOM), travelled to Saudi Arabia to meet Saudi military leaders and senior US diplomats on Thursday and Friday.
Kurilla met chief of general staff, Fayyadh al-Ruwaili, and other senior Saudi military commanders, CENTCOM said.
“The leaders discussed shared regional security concerns, the status of humanitarian assistance into the Gaza Strip, and further opportunities to partner on innovation of defensive technologies,” it continued, adding that Kurilla also discussed the Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
