Watch: Al-Julani Reportedly Dead in Joint Syrian-Russian Airstrike
IRNA, citing Arab media sources, reported Sunday morning that Syrian and Russian warplanes conducted a joint operation targeting the hideout of the Nusra Front group in Syria.

Reports indicate that Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the group's leader, was present at the headquarters along with several key commanders and members when the strike occurred. However, there has been no confirmation or denial regarding al-Julani's reported death in the airstrike.

Armed groups, with external support and reinforcements, launched a large-scale offensive on Syrian army positions in the northwest, west, and southwest of Aleppo on Wednesday morning, leading to intense clashes between them and government forces.

These attacks coincided with Israeli airstrikes in Syria.

Damascus has repeatedly accused the United States, some Western allies, and Israel of supporting armed factions in Syria and undermining the stability of the government and its citizens.
