The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms says it has documented 43 violations by Houthi forces in Taiz governorate over the past 24 hours, leaving five civilians dead and 17 others wounded.

In a report carried by Yemen’s government-run Saba news agency, the rights group said those killed included five-year-old Ahlam Abdulsalam, who died when shelling struck her family’s home in the al-Misrakh district.

The group said Houthi forces fired more than 180 projectiles at residential areas across the governorate, including mortar and artillery shells, Katyusha rockets and tank rounds, alongside drone attacks.

It reported damage to seven homes, 12 private vehicles, al-Safwa Hospital and al-Saeed Mosque in Taiz city.

The organisation warned that continued shelling and restrictions on supplies were worsening humanitarian conditions, calling on the UN and the international community to take urgent steps to protect civilians and ensure access to essential goods and medical care.
