Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdellatif Derian met on Tuesday with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka.

The pair discussed the latest political, economic, and social developments on the local scene.

Following her meeting with the Mufti, Wronecka said: "I thanked His Eminence for our discussion today about the escalating crisis in Lebanon, its profound impact on the people, and the need for immediate solutions. We agreed that the formation of the government could not be delayed any longer."

She also confirmed UN's continued efforts to support Lebanon and its people.
