President Michel Aoun on Tuesday met with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo, at Baabda Palace.

Relations between Lebanon and France, and the ways that France can help Lebanon in the crisis it is going through, and the Lebanese people to overcome the difficulties they are facing were discussed in the meeting.

Ambassador Grillo conveyed a message of support from France, President, government and people to Lebanon and its people that Paris stands by them. In addition, the French Ambassador pointed to the need for the Council of Ministers to reconvene, and asserted the importance of advancing the financial and economic negotiations for the benefit of Lebanon, in addition to the necessity of continuing preparations for holding the parliamentary elections in a sound atmosphere.

Ambassador Grillo also welcomed President Aoun’s call for dialogue, and hoped that Lebanon would be able to work on overcoming all the crises it is facing, through the solidarity and unity of the Lebanese.
