Footage circulating on X showed a Chinese military transport aircraft, the Xi’an Y-20, landing at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, sparking a wave of questions online.
According to circulated information, the aircraft arrived via Abu Dhabi, where it remained for about two hours before taking off from Beirut and returning the same way, flying over the Mediterranean toward Egypt.
A source told Russia Today that the purpose of the landing was to rotate a Chinese unit within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), including both equipment and personnel.
