Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Gebran Bassil emphasized that "It is obvious that in exchange for disarming, Israel must withdraw from the territories it occupies, stop its attacks, and the Palestinian refugee crisis must be resolved."

Speaking from Baabda Palace, he called for "resolving the Syrian displaced crisis with a rapid and immediate return," noting that "all excuses for their stay have fallen."

Bassil also expressed hope that "Hezbollah will seize the opportunity so that everyone wins with Lebanon’s existence and survival."
