Lebanon will experience a heatwave this week, with temperatures rising about 10°C above seasonal averages in inland areas, accompanied by high humidity along the coast. The heat is expected to last throughout the week and will begin to ease gradually starting Friday.
On Sunday, the weather will be partly cloudy with dense fog over the mountains and a slight chance of light drizzle in northern areas during the evening. High humidity will increase the feeling of heat on the coast.
Monday will see partly cloudy skies with fog on the mountains, a slight temperature drop in mountainous and inland areas, while coastal temperatures remain steady with high humidity.
Tuesday will bring mostly clear skies with fog in the mountains, stable temperatures inland and in the mountains, and rising temperatures on the coast with lower humidity.
Wednesday is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures above seasonal averages and increased humidity, along with occasional gusty winds.
Temperatures will range from 28 to 36°C on the coast, 19 to 36°C in the mountains, and 25 to 45°C inland.
A warning is issued to avoid midday sun exposure and to be cautious of the risk of forest fires in wooded areas.
