The General Directorate of Customs announced that, following accurate information, the Saida Customs Unit carried out a specialized operation that led to the seizure of an unlicensed shoe factory in Jadra, Chouf. The factory was producing shoes bearing logos and trademarks of well-known global brands, in clear violation of existing laws.
The factory owner, a Syrian national, was identified, the large quantities of shoes inside were confiscated, and the facility was sealed with a customs seal. The owner was taken to the customs center in preparation for legal action under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
The Directorate emphasized that this operation is part of the Customs Unit’s ongoing efforts to combat commercial fraud, protect consumers, and prevent infringement of trademark rights.
