President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, reviewed the state of the judiciary in Lebanon during a meeting this morning at Baabda Palace with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Suheil Abboud.
Judge Abboud congratulated the president on the holidays and briefed him on the outcomes of yesterday’s meeting with Justice Minister Adel Nassar, held within the framework of ongoing cooperation aimed at activating judicial work and improving conditions within the judiciary.
President Aoun also received Lebanon’s Ambassador to Mexico, Georges Al-Jallad, with whom he discussed Lebanese-Mexican relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields. He later met Lebanon’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Ghadi Khoury, and reviewed bilateral relations as well as the situation of the Lebanese community there.
Separately, President Aoun received a delegation from the Al-Khoury University headed by Charbel Khoury, who conveyed holiday greetings and praised the president’s positions aimed at advancing Lebanon. President Aoun expressed optimism about the country’s outlook, noting improved security conditions, positive indicators for the holiday and summer seasons, and ongoing efforts to avert war through coordination with friendly and brotherly states.
The president also received New Year greetings from the King of Morocco, the Emir of Kuwait, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and South Korea, and the President of Italy.
