The General Directorate of State Security commended the efforts of its personnel during New Year’s Eve, highlighting the success of security measures implemented across Lebanon, including checkpoints and patrols to safeguard public safety.

In coordination with the Lebanese Army and other security agencies, these efforts contributed to a secure holiday.

The directorate affirmed that it will continue to pursue those who fired gunshots during the celebrations and will take legal action in accordance with the law.
