The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, departed Rafic Hariri International Airport heading to Spain on an official two-day visit, in response to an official invitation from King Felipe VI of Spain and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

President Aoun is accompanied on his visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi and a number of advisers. Lebanon’s Ambassador to Spain, Hani Chemaitelly, will join the delegation in Madrid.

The President of the Republic is scheduled to meet tomorrow with King Felipe VI and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and to hold talks with them on bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international developments.
