Hezbollah’s media relations office strongly condemned what it described as a “deliberate and cowardly” Israeli strike that killed journalist Ali Shuaib, a correspondent for Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio, along with journalist Fatima Ftouni of Al-Mayadeen and cameraman Mohammad Ftouni. The three were targeted in an airstrike on their vehicle on the Jezzine road while carrying out their media duties.
In a statement, Hezbollah said the attack on journalists amounts to a war crime against independent media, arguing that it reflects Israel’s attempt to silence coverage exposing its conduct.
The group extended condolences to the victims’ families and the Lebanese media community, and called for documenting the incident and pursuing legal action. It urged Lebanese authorities, as well as relevant legal and media bodies, to file complaints with the United Nations and the UN Security Council and to initiate proceedings before international courts to hold Israel accountable.
