The forecasting department of the Meteorology Service at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expects that tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with high-altitude clouds, a decrease in humidity, and a noticeable rise in temperatures, exceeding seasonal averages, especially in the southern and inland areas. Winds will also strengthen, reaching up to 75 km/h in northern regions, accompanied by layers of dust.
The bulletin states the following:
General situation: Stable spring weather is prevailing over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin until Sunday, when the region will be affected by relatively warm air masses leading to a marked rise in temperatures above seasonal averages, with active winds carrying dust and a drop in humidity.
Note: Average May temperatures are 18–27°C in Beirut, 15–25°C in Tripoli, and 13–27°C in Zahle.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
Saturday: Partly cloudy with fog on the mountains and a slight drop in temperatures. Light rain is possible before noon, with occasionally active winds. Weather improves in the afternoon, becoming mostly clear.
Sunday: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with high clouds, lower humidity, and a significant rise in temperatures above seasonal averages, especially in southern and inland areas. Winds will strengthen, reaching up to 75 km/h in northern areas, with dust in the air.
