Israeli Channel 12 reported that there is a “decisive American message to Israel banning strikes on Beirut amid concerns of regional escalation.”

The channel explained that Washington fears that strikes in Beirut could derail negotiations with Iran and widen the scope of escalation in Lebanon. It also noted that there are behind-the-scenes disagreements between Israel’s political and military leadership over how to manage the escalation in Lebanon.
