The Directorate General of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
"Marine rescue teams in the Directorate General of Civil Defence were able, at 3:15 pm today, in the presence and with the support of the relevant security agencies, to recover the body of a citizen from the sea off the coast of Amchit, from a difficult maritime area experiencing high waves and strong currents.
Ambulance teams in the Civil Defence then transferred the body to one of the hospitals in the region, based on instructions from the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, to take the necessary legal procedures.
In this context, the Directorate General of Civil Defence renews its call to citizens to strictly adhere to public safety guidelines while swimming and visiting beaches, especially in light of weather fluctuations, high waves, and strong winds. It also urges avoiding risk in dangerous or unsafe maritime areas, and to immediately report any emergency by calling 125 or via WhatsApp on 70/192693."
