Judicial sources told MTV that the arrest warrant issued for George Dib, widely known as Dr. Food, has been circulated to all Lebanese security agencies, meaning it will be executed immediately upon his arrest and he will be handed over to the judiciary.

The sources believe Dib has not left Lebanon, noting that an investigating judge had previously imposed a travel ban on him before referring his case to the Criminal Court, effectively preventing him from leaving the country.

According to the sources, the verdict against Dib was issued in absentia because he failed to appear before the court. They added that if he turns himself in, he will be granted a new trial in his presence before the competent judicial authorities.
