Agriculture Minister Abbas Hajj Hassan announced that Jordan will open its doors to Lebanese apples as of October 15, and stressed that the issue of Indian hemp will soon be resolved.
During a meeting with employees of the Agriculture Department in Baalbek, Hassan stressed that "the Ministry of Agriculture has launched, since day one, a real emergency plan for all Lebanese regions. The plan covers two parts: internal efforts to arrange local work and keep pace with the projects being implemented, and an external effort to open new horizons and new markets for Lebanese products, next to the continuous partnership with Arab brothers and friendly Gulf countries, as well as Syria, naturally, the European and USA."
