Free Patriotic Movement head, MP Gebran Bassil said Tuesday that his group will challenge the cancellation of the six parliamentary seats earmarked to the expats by the 2018 election law.
"We will contest what happened with the expat vote issue, because the constitutional principle is clear and it has been violated," he told reporters following a parliamentary session at UNESCO Palace.
"What happened today was a legislative massacre," he stressed.
He also considered that setting March 27 as a date for the parliamentary elections is "manipulation" given the bad weather conditions and the fasting season for Christians.
