The Daily Star newspaper quoted sources at Baabda Palace saying that Sleiman stressed the need for Hezbollah and other parties to comply with the "Baabda Declaration" during his meeting with MP Mohammad Raad on Tuesday.
Political sources described Sleiman's meeting with Raad as "frank," saying that the president restated his stances on Hezbollah's interference in Syria, stressing the need not to drag the country into the Syrian fighting.
According to sources, the president reportedly said that by adhering to the disassociation policy, Hezbollah would deny March 14 parties the pretext to interfere in the conflict in Syria.
Sleiman also urged the rival political parties to use national dialogue as a means to agree on resolving all problems, including the two-month-long deadlock over the formation of a new Cabinet, the sources said.
