In the framework of Wednesday's parliamentary meeting, House Speaker, Nabih Berri, was quoted saying that the parliament's competent committees will carry on studying electoral proposals in order to approve on them.

"Berri will call upon the electoral subcommittee to convene again as soon as possible over the parliamentary elections law in an intensive way and within limited time," the Deputies quoted him as saying.

The House Speaker also vowed to take more active steps aiming to help PM-designate Tammam Salam in forming a new cabinet.

The Speaker deemed the current security situation as critical, indicating that there is an aim to ignite strig across the country.
