Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri condemned the terrorist explosion which targeted the Southern Suburb of Beirut on Thursday
"This horrific crime which targeted innocent citizens in the Southern Suburb is part of a vicious terrorist scheme that aims at igniting the fire of discord and evil across Lebanon," said Hariri. He added that such a crime also aims at sabotaging the country as it struggles to keep away from the surrounding fires.
"The Lebanese, regardless of their religious or political affiliation, cannot but condemn this terrorist crime in the strongest terms," added Hariri.
He urged all sides to resort to wisdom and self-restraint, refraining from executing Lebanon's enemies' plots that aim at plunging the country into the trap of discord; destroying what is left of the State's unity and stability, Hariri added.
