Health Minister Wael Abou Faour announced that "the judicial authorities asked the permission to pursue Abdel Meneem Youssef who has been proved to be engaged in public money embezzlement," adding that he does not expect Telecommunications minister Boutros Harb to refuse the said request.

 

Abou Faour's words came after the meeting of the Media and Telecommunications committee on Tuesday at the parliament.

 

He noted that those engaged in the illegal internet file would be held accountable pointing out to the presence of accusations against other accused persons.

 

Abou Faour stressed that they would carry on following up on this issue until the public money is returned to the state's treasury and those responsible are held accountable.
