Prime Minister Saad Hariri received on Thursday evening at the Center House a delegation from the World Commission of the Homenetmen Society, headed the by Secretary General of the Commission, Karnig Meguerditchian, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Avidis Guidanian, MP Hagop Pakradounian, the Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Vahagn Atabekian, the representative of the Armenian Orthodox Catholicos Aram I, Archimandrite Kodjanian, the representative of Homenetmen France Hrach Sisserian, Former Minister Ghattas Khoury, the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahmoud Makkiya, Former MP Ammar Houri and figures.
Speaking at the beginning of the meeting, Archimandrite Kodjanian said that Prme Minister Hariri continues the approach of his father, a culture of openness, respect and love".
The secretary of the World Commission of the Homenetmen Rafi Kok Oglanian paid tribute to Prime Minister Saad Hariri, "who upheld the principles of this house and adopted the policy of openness and consideration of the supreme interests of the country above all else."
He praised the support of Prime Minister Saad Hariri for the youth, scouting and sports movements in general, and Homenetmen in particular. He announced that Prime Minister Saad Hariri is the first non-Armenian to be awarded the Homenetmen Excellence Medallion, since the founding of the association in 1918, in recognition of his contribution to building generations and countries.
Hariri thanked them and said: "Martyr Prime Minister Rafic Hariri always had a special relationship with the Sisserian family, and they were loyal and sincere. You are an association that has accomplished a lot, and this is what sets you apart from others".
