The Free Patriotic Movement has no intention to obstruct the presidential vote, MP Salim Aoun said in an interview on Wednesday.
"We seek to back a candidate who can obtain the 50%+1 majority, but until now there is no candidate who enjoy this majority," said the Strong Lebanon bloc lawmaker.
He also stressed that the FPM's rejection of former minister Sleiman Frangieh's nomination for the presidency of the republic does not come within the context of confrontation with the Amal Movement-Hezbollah duo.
