Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean will experience warm, stable autumn weather, with temperatures above seasonal averages, particularly inland, according to the Meteorological Department at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
The weather is expected to become unsettled gradually from this afternoon, bringing scattered rainfall until dawn on Tuesday, when conditions will stabilize again.
Starting early Thursday, the region is expected to be affected by a low-pressure system currently centered northwest of Türkiye. The system will gradually approach, bringing relatively cold air masses, occasionally heavy rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms. Its effects are expected to last until the end of next week.
Weather forecast for Lebanon:
Sunday: Partly cloudy, with medium- and high-altitude clouds and a slight rise in temperatures. Humidity will increase in the afternoon, with fog forming over the mountains and clouds thickening. Scattered rainfall is possible, particularly in northern and eastern areas, with occasional strong winds.
Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy, with dense fog over the mountains. Temperatures will drop back to seasonal averages. Scattered rain is expected, occasionally becoming heavier, especially in the north, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and strong winds. Conditions will gradually stabilize overnight.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy, with no significant change in temperatures and localized fog over the mountains. Scattered drizzle is expected in northern areas during the morning. Humidity will decrease during the day, with skies becoming mostly clear.
