Photo: Protesters build wall inside Nahr El-Kalb tunnel

After closing Nahr El-Kalb highway in both directions all day and setting up barbed wires a few hours ago, protesters in the region resorted on Wednesday night to a new way to prevent the road from being opened.

They built a wall inside the tunnel of Nahr El-Kalb.

Soon, protesters received severe backlash from the Lebanese people because this move reminded them of how regions were divided during the Lebanese civil war.

Protesters removed the wall after a while.
