Head of the Committee of Lebanese Students in France, Omar Al-Khouli, urged Lebanese students to stay away from ongoing student and union protests across several French universities and to comply with French laws and university regulations.
The committee said its priority is to protect students’ academic progress and urged them to avoid any activities that could affect their studies, residency or safety.
It also called on students to rely on official university sources for updates on class suspensions, campus closures, remote learning and exam schedules, rather than social media rumors.
The committee stressed that its position does not question the right of French students and unions to peacefully express their demands within the law.
