Thousands of Jordanians gathered on Sunday to mourn eight people killed in a terrorist attack on a church in the village of Hammoud, in Karak province, in a mass funeral marked by widespread grief.

Officials and members of the public assembled near the targeted church, expressing solidarity and national unity in the face of terrorism, according to footage aired on Jordanian state television.

The victims’ coffins, draped in Jordanian flags, were carried by personnel from the Public Security Directorate before the victims were laid to rest, local media reported.
