Despite his hopes of overcoming a disease that has silently befouled humanity for decades, even centuries, Jezzine’s MP Michel Helou passed away Friday following a long struggle against cancer.
His deteriorating health had been noted as he was unable to pursue his career as lawyer and member of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc.
Convoy carrying MP Michel Helou’s body leaves Saturday at 8:00 Bsalim’s al-Sharq al-Awsat hospital to head to Jezzine.
The funeral service will be held at 16:00 at Saint Maroon’s church in Jezzine.
His family and relatives will be accepting condolences on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 till 19:00 in Jezzine and then in Ghazir’s Our Lady church from 11:00 till 19:00.
