Gold prices have declined trading and were on track to post a monthly loss of more than 6%, as expectations of higher US interest rates strengthened and investors awaited inflation data for clues on the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy outlook.
Spot gold fell 0.2% to $4,170.63 an ounce, while gold futures rose 0.5% to $4,201.90 an ounce.
