The Lebanese Women's Council organized a ceremony in honor of female general directors in public institutions, and a number of businesswomen in Lebanon, under the patronage of Caretaker Minister of State for Women's Affairs, Jean Ogassapian.

"Lebanese women have made political, media, economic, health, and educational achievements within the past century. Their task today is to save their country from the current crisis, which is leading Lebanon to an abyss," Lebanese Women's Council Chairperson, Iqbal Doughan, said.

For his part, Minister Ogassapian called on women to "keep progressing in society and developing their skills."

He highlighted the achievements of his ministry in support of the role of women in state institutions.

Honorary shields were awarded to several women, including the Director of the National News Agency (NNA), Laure Sleiman Saab.
