The International Maritime Academy of Lebanon (IMA) officially announced on Tuesday that 100% of all proceeds of their 'Online Boat Master Certification' classes will be donated in support of their Student Financial Aid Program.
Additionally, Lebanese boat owners are given the opportunity to support student tuition fees, while benefiting from employing the Academy's cadets on their yachts.
Online classes start from April 8th and there is already a huge turnaround of participation from all boat owners who wish to use their time at home creatively, while at the same time helping the youth of Lebanon. Pierre Akl, Chairman of 'IMA' in a brief statement said, "During such challenging times, we consider it our duty to support and safeguard our Phoenician ancestry, and foster job opportunities for our students in the post-coronavirus era. It is in this spirit, that we welcome all Lebanese boat owners to embrace our mission, support Lebanese youth, and become part of our maritime family".
