Minister of Information, George Kordahi, on Thursday received in his office at the Ministry the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Yasser Alawi, with whom he discussed general public affairs and the bilateral relations, especially in the media sector.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Kordahi said that he had discussed with the Egyptian diplomat several matters related to media cooperation between the two countries.
“Egypt holds a special place in my heart and that of all the Lebanese,” Kordahi said, deeming relations between the two countries as deeply entrenched.
He added that the memorandum of understanding between Lebanon and Egypt on media cooperation dates back to 2010.
Kordahi also thanked Ambassador Alawi on behalf of the Lebanese government for his Egyptian counterpart Hussain Zein’s positive response in allowing Tele Liban to continue broadcasting via Nilesat.
