The Court of Appeal in Lebanon rejected on Monday the request to dismiss the judicial investigator from the Beirut port explosion file, Judge Tarek Bitar, and decided to reject the request for response in form due to lack of qualitative jurisdiction. The Court also decided to oblige the plaintiffs, who filed this request, MPs Ghazi Zaiter, Ali Hassan Khalil, and Nohad Machnouk to pay a fine of LBP 800,000 and all judicial fees and expenses.
