Indian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, on Monday paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at UNIFIL-PIO.

Head of Mission, UNIFIL Force Commander, Major General Stefano Del Col, Ambassador Suhel Ajaz Khan, Chief of INDBATT Col Mohver Singh Grewal, led the celebration of the International Day of Non-Violence at the Mahatma Gandhi Park at Ebel El Saqi in South Lebanon. 

To spread the message of peace and non-violence, doves, and balloons were released during the event. 

The event was organized by the Indian Battalion. It was also attended by Mr. Samih El Bekai, Mayor of Ebel El Saqi, officials of Lebanese Army, and other local dignitaries. 

The Ambassador also presented copies of Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography to the attendees.
