Hezbollah announced in a statement on Friday that its Chief, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, had welcomed Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and an accompanying delegation, in the presence of Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Muhammad Jalal Ferozania.
According to the statement, the meeting mainly took stock of the political developments in Lebanon and the region.
The statement also indicated that "the Iranian Foreign Minister had affirmed the constants of the Iranian position towards Lebanon, as well as its support on all levels.”
In turn, Sayyed Nasrallah thanked the visiting Iranian delegation for its country’s support to the Lebanese state, people, and resistance all throughout the past decades until today.
“Iran has proven to be a sincere ally and a loyal friend that does not fail its friends no matter how difficult the circumstances are,” the statement added.
“Hopes are very high for Lebanon to surpass this ordeal that has befallen it, with the cooperation of all, God willing,” the statement concluded.
